Hi all,
Been back and forth with Daniel at Hobby Easy today.
I ordered a couple of kits and Tamiya acrylic paint.
He tells me that now Hong Kong mail won't ship paint air with a flammable warning on it.Must go surface mail.
Here's the clincher. Surface mail takes 2 1/2 months to arrive.I guess it's back to the LHS at twice the price.

Tamiya acrylics , Mr Color and others have the symbol of a flame . Rest is in Japanese , so it's flammable . Maybe try lucky model ?

Try http://www.dersockelshop.de . They've shipped acrylics, enamels and lacquers to me by mail. Takes about 10 days to get to me. It may be faster for you.

Thanks guys,
I'll try some of these.
I have got paint from Lucky before no problem.
Daniel tells me this only started in Hong Kong in the last 3 months.

Hong Kong Post tightened the checking on outbound airmail for "Dangerous Articles" that include flammable liquids a few months ago. Hobby Easy and Lucky Model can only send flammable paints/thinner by surface mail.

If you are in canada..... http://scalehobbyist.com is in NH....prices are cheaper than any other options here. ($2.36 for 23 ml Tamiya acrylic bottle) and shipping is $9.95 for first pound which should get you quite a bit of paint. Also I dont believe shipping from US to canada is and issue for paint.

I agree with Doug ... "ScaleHobbyist" ... just a spit over the border. Allow me to add ... they are one of the easiest online sites to navigate. Try their search-engine ... very useful.

But the shipping from Canada is sometimes more expensive that from Asia . I have bought paints from Poland and paid less for shipping than from Canada .
