Hi all, I have been using Tamiya airbrush cleaner to clean airbrush, and their Lacquer thinner to clean brush and palette for sometimes. While it works out very well it is also very expensive in a long run. Therefore, could anyone kindly introduces other economic product that would works just well for these purpose? Would be really appreciated!

99% Isopropyl Alcohol will clean off most paints.

Yes, isopropyl alcohol for sure, especially for Tamiya acrylics. I only use their airbrush cleaner if I happen to use the lacquer thinner to thin the paints for use in my airbrush (which, by the way, I highly recommend for a superior finish). All other times I use 91% isopropyl alcohol...much cheaper in the long run.

Or you could try the store bought lacquer thinner to clean the airbrush .

I use mostly Tamiya acrylics and Windex to clean up. After spraying paint I fill the cup with Windex and spray through, works well. It also cleans brushes and is cheap!

Anybody an idea by what name Windex goes in Europe? Could be a very good idea...

I think in Europe the label name is Crystal glass cleaner maybe? It was in another thread. Basically any streak free glass cleaner with ammonia will clean out an airbrush. Then rinse again with water to remove the ammonia.
You should be able to get isopropyl alcohol at a pharmancy/chemist shop. Just be very careful spraying it as it will ignite explosively. It is best to spray it into a brush cleaner or other enclosed trap. Years ago a kid in school blew up a room because he saturated the room with alcohol fumes spraying from a bottle. He was burned up pretty badly but lived.

Hi
Here I use Mr.Muscle windows cleaner for my Ammo and acrilics paints.

TIA
Regards Alvaro

In the UK its Windowlene, but any glass cleaner should do the trick.
