A friend of mine, Bobby Wong, just completed an accurization review of the R/C 1/24 scale M1A2 Abrams tank by Tokyo Marui. He entered his tank in the AMPS East competition and it looks like he did a nice job.

Here is his article: Miniature-Art's M1A2 Abrams.

Damned nice looking model. It's nice to see someone with the dedication to keep going back and rebuilding and improving. I'm not going to comment on the accuracy, for me it looks good, anfd to some that may sound like heresy, that's more than enough..... A lesson for all of us on the perseverance some modellers have....Thanks for linking it... Jim

Hi. Really nice. I really like these larger scale models. It would be nice if more of the model makers would start occasionally making some of the 1/25 scale static models, just for a tad of a change. I know they are more costly, but it sure would be a treat to work with a bigger scale for a change. I would dearly love to see Tamiya re-release their very old 1/25 Tiger tank they had out back in the late '60s or early '70s that's been ungraded to today's plastic molding techniques.

I picked up Academy's 1/25 scale Panther here a few weeks ago, and can't wait for some of the after market folks to bring out a PE set for it. Man is it big compared to the 1/35 scale stuff I'm use to working with.

We can always hope I guess.

Take care, Sgirty

Great news for Tiger I fans. The 1/24 scale tiger I by Tokyo Marui is going to come out sometime in 2004.
I hope that this tank will spark interest in 1/24 scale R/C Airsoft tanks.

Great article, I myself just bought a Hen Long Type 90 on e-bay for just 20 bucks!!! The quality isn't as good as the Marui tanks, but still, it's a very impressive tank. I would rather prefer to get the M1 or Leo 2 but since I'm modifying it just for offorad - it's all right.

To me working, and making the big scale is a lot easier to me, but it is very hard to afford.
Now I see others and it seems as though they have it easier to make the smaller scale, cause there sure is a lot of it, or just maybe cause I spent the last 30 + years with semis, and it seems that way.
