Hi guys!

An stupid (maybe) question:

Does this thing steering? Or it just brake one side wheels, like a tank?

I ask because I didn't see any space to steering the front wheels.

Cheers!

Marco

You're right Marco. The vehicle works like a tank.

Hi Marco

AFAIK, the AMX-10RC uses "skid steering" (it's turned by generating differential velocity at the opposite sides of the hull), just like Bobcat loaders . Skid steering allows on-the-spot turning.

Hi all,

I received the Tiger Model kit yesterday. First of all, is TM a sister company of Tamiya? The assembly guide, plastic, etc are very similar...

Anyway, I had a question regarding the kit.
Built out of the box, does it represent an AMX-10RCR as employed by the Armee de Terre in Afghanistan or in Mali?

I stumbled across pictures of AMX-10 with an extended bustle rack, a new assortment of antennas (IED system maybe??).
Like this one, from Wikipedia (sorry for the size):
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e0/French_troops_and_armor_in_the_Alasai_Valley%2C_Kapisa_province.jpg

Notice the added plates/brackets on the forward sectors of the turret and the missing LIRE device (usually on the left side of the turret).

Thanks,

Thomas
