On the Tamiya T-55A, three out of four decals went on fine with my usual method, but the fourth one had sivering underneath when I varnished it.

Method: I apply Future by brush at the decal location. Let it dry then apply the decal with water.
Let that dry then re-wet the decal with micro-sol generously several times, paying attention to getting it to run under creases.
When I'm happy with how the decal looks I then apply future over the top.

This time one of the decals was almost entirely 'silvered' underneath. The others, inclusing an idential one, were all fine.

I know there are other ways of doing this, but previously this way has always worked perfectly. Is my method lacking something?

Hi James, I use flor wax too, the local one of J&J.
First apply the Blem,as you do it.
Late put the de cal on water.
When the decal are ready I apply another coat of wax AS WHEN YOU USE WATER .
Apply the decal over the wet wax and use a brush to set and flat it.
Keep an eye on the decal. Rolling the brush its necesary.
I use more wax instead of micro productos.
Works for me, when set seal the with flat.
HTH

I apply Micro-Sol immediately after applying the decal.
