Hey everybody -

I'm currently building Trumpy's BS-3 100mm gun that I want to use in a spring 1945 Lake Balaton/Operation Frühlingserwachen diorama. Since I'm not a huge fan of vinyl tires, I would prefer to replace them with resin wheels but the only ones avalable are these: http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/hussar/hussar35034.htm

Unfortunately, only postwar BS-3s seem to have these wheels (with only two lightening holes and the offroad tires) - all the WWII examples that I've found photos for have four holes and different tires, just like the ones in the kit:

Does anyone know anything about or has anyone seen photos of a wartime BS-3 with the wheels with two holes and offroad tires? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jerry. Looks like the ICM kit has plastic wheels for the WWII variant:

Ditto ! Some GAZ-AA ones should be OK as well...

Both types have five holes, not four, BTW

Thanks a lot for your responses, guys - I hadn't thought of using GAZ wheels, and there are sure enough resin ones to choose from.

Now I just have to remember how to count - It just might come in handy for this hobby, and maybe life in general.

Thanks again!
