Hi all
I'm completely new to figures, so I was hoping for a little guidance.
I'm wanting to model a couple of SS Wiking figures on the retreat from the Korsun Pocket. I'm after top quality figures in 1:35 depicting the freezing fatigued battle scared condition of the unit.
I've spent a couple of hours trawling the internet, but not really found what I'm after, so I thought I'd ask my expert friends.
I've found Hornet heads, some of the expressions are just what I want, but I need the main figures. No action poses, just trudging through the snow. A pointer in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Andy

How did you go pass Alpine Miniature's 35113, or better still, & my favorite, 35153?
Check those out,
Kylie

Thanks Kylie
I'd seen those, but I was hoping for something slightly less 'perky' looking. Perhaps in a great coat?
Best I've seen though. Perhaps if i got some hornet heads with miserable expressions? Are these a straight swap for Alpine figures?
Thanks

DML do a set "Panzergrenadiers Wiking Division: Hungary 1945". I don't know why they're specifically Wiking as they're just SS troops in Winter gear

These appear to be exactly what you specified lol. I'm the other way round. I'm more figures than vehicles as there's more I can do with them ie individualising them

Hi Andy,
These figures from Stalingrad may suit you. Although they are not exactly depicting the Wiking Division but the postures with some modification may work.

There is this: http://www.dragonmodelsusa.com/dmlusa/prodd.asp?pid=MAS35103 set from Masterbox. Not quite resin quality, but, nevertheless, pretty good. Even the facial expressions are well done for plastic, but could be improved with Hornet heads, and equipment replaced with Dragon Gen 2.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, it's appreciated.
Those Master box figures are exactly the look I was after. Shame they're not resin, but I guess I can't have it all.

Glad you found what you're looking for; by the time they're painted, no one will know the difference...
