Hi guys. A new released kit of Miniart. It is such an high detailed kit however the quality of plastic is really poor. Even you pay so much attention to get parts from sprue, they are broken down lots of pieces and it is really annoying.
Actually I started to build kit about 2 months ago but I had not any chance to post it here. There are some pictures what I did so far.
see you untill new pocess

Looks great, especially the weathering on the sprockets & tracks. Eager to see how you did that.

Hi Paul!
Thanks for your comment. I used Vallejos pigments. The bigger part of mud made by Light sienna and I applied a little mix of Light Sienna and Natural Umber.
To create wet effect, I used AK Engine Oil. Actually it is produced to create an engine oil effect on customsurface but when it is applied on mud effect, the color of it cant be recognized and and it seems like a wet mud.

Thank you so much.
Hi again!
I started to build base. I used sytrofoam and it was covered by plaster then painted by vallejos and tamiyas acrylics. After painting, using vallejo's light siana, all base was covered.
After covering by pigment, I put some worn-out parts of Russian T70M and the others. I am still preparing some worn-out parts too. They will be put in front of the blade as if they were being sweept to the little hill, to by other parts side
See you!

Fantastic build overall. Love what you did with the base, excellent!
Just started on my Mirror Models Cat D7. It is a real treat! The fit and production engineering is like a Swiss watch - super. Mirror has solved their problems with the giant sprue gates. Parts seperation is a breeze and the use of the recommended Tamiya Super Thin glue makes assembly a piece of cake!

You're not alone apparently...

I never thought I would say that but I'll take Mirror over Miniart this time.
Cheers,
Christophe

Threw the turret out and replaced it some things.
I like that better than the turret. The rubble is taking on a very convincing look now — a randomly pushed appearance. Keep going in that direction. Really awesome build and exceptional groundwork!

Wow!! Very nice. Love the weathering. I'll be happy if I can get mine to look half that good. Can I ask how did the weathering on the front of the dozer blade?

Thanks Chris.
After primer, I painted the blade by Vallejo's Camouflage Black Brown (71042) and applied on it some Mahogany Sand (70846. Mahogany Sand one is not for airbrush but it can be applied after getting thinned by isopropil alcohol.
After apinting I used the salt+hair sprey technique and covered some areas of blade by salt and painted it AK Interactive's True Metal Steel.
After throwing out salt, I applied Vallejo's Old Rust, Ak Interactive's Rust Effect and a black brown pigment.
And finally applied Vallejo's Light Sienna with pigment binder.
I hope I could expailn it. If you have more question, please don't hesitate.
