Live resin has diversified their range with a set of burnt out tracks in the works. These tracks will be in 1/35th scale for the Abrams.

Kurt I think you are correct and I never moticed that aspect. That said the actual product may be different.

I'd actually rather see a set of tracks with extreme wear, more like what is pictured....

I agree, a set of moderate, or extremely, worn tracks would be great. Not sure how many will be building a burned out Abrams.

I can't imagine it will be a whole lot alright. I don't think there have been that many burnt out in real world...

Why? Surely that's achievable by taking a set of "good ones" and giving them wear and tear from the tools in your modelling toolkit, sandpaper, craft knives etc. The same as you would to represent wear on the rubber of the roadwheels.

Why? Surely that's achievable by taking a set of "good ones" and giving them wear and tear from the tools in your modelling toolkit, sandpaper, craft knives etc. The same as you would to represent wear on the rubber of the roadwheels.


Making them thinner with a couple of not-quite-realistic-looking nicks is possible but wearing them to the point shown, with the edges of the block and the internal structure visible and looking like the machine-made parts they are is probably beyond the skills of a human, save a literal handful.

No doubt, but extremely time-consuming. And I'm an average modeler at best, and would enjoy something where something's done for me that I would have trouble with myself. That's the main reason I guy other AM parts, because someone else was able to create and market something beyond my skill level that I can incorporate into my model to improve it.

I agree the Live Resin tracks should be damaged too on this side.
