I bought the "exterior model" (1386). I'd like to know if the marking options are accurate for this version. Apart of that I heard that this kit has some innacuracies as it is used as basis for the other offerings (mid and late Tigers) One of the marking options is Otto Carius' Tiger (217) but I only found info for Carius' mid Tiger. Any advice about this kit will be welcome. If there are other marking options for this kit (aftermarket), let me know. Best regards.

José.

P.S: I'd like to try a Panzer gray/Winter wash scheme, if possible.

I cannot speak for the kit decals, but you could check out eBay for Bison, Star Decals and Echelon decals. They make a variety of early Tiger sets. Techmod also has a set.

Looking at the decal options;

712 of 501 - this was an Initial Tiger with major differences to the kit's contents.

217 of 502 - this was a Mid Tiger with major differences to the kit's contents.

S03 of LAH - never existed. The unit had only S04 and S05. But in any case, it would have been a Command Tiger with differences to the kit's contents.

123 of 502 - this Tiger actually belonged to 503. It had major differences to the kit's contents.

S11, S13 of DR - these had major differences to the kit's contents.

Dangit... So no accurate OOB markings for it... I'll look for aftermarket decals. Thanks a lot. Best regards.

José.
