I've watched a few videos on YouTube by both companies, and by independent modelers, where they say that they spray these paints with the AB right out of the bottle.. and they do it on video. Do you guys who use these paints actually spray them right out of the bottle without getting any clogging or anything? I find I have to thin them almost 1:1 ration so that the paint comes out of the AB and not cause any clogging. What am I doing wrong?

The AB I'm using now is a Chinese AB with a pistol grip, like the Grex AB's, and with a 0.5 nozzle.. I've already asked about AB's in another thread and I've already ordered the Iwata Revolution CR with a 0.5 nozzle for painting large areas.. but I'm just wondering about this AB I got now and what it's problem is?

Hi, I use Ammo paints for my Last 3 tanks. I add them directly to the Ab cup. After a very well Shake. I like them but sometimes I add a few drops of water. Also try isopropil alcohol. Of course you must clean more often the Tip but this happends with all the Ab soon or later.
You must apply very thin coat.

I have started using Ammo, and am starting to like it more. I use a Grex .35 AB and thin in it about 2:1 with air pressure about 15psi. I have no issues doing large areas, and apply it in very thin coats.

One of the things to watch when spraying true acrylics (water based) is the air pressure, too low and it blocks up, too high and it spits. The pressure should be set between 15 and 20 psi depending on if it's been thinned or not.
