I am looking for pictures of the engine deck on the M48A2 after the Israeli's installed the diesel engine. I did a google search and have not found anything useful.

I've got Vasco Barbic's old article but won't have access to it for a month. I'm sure someone will be able to help you out before then, but if not, hit me up in a month.

Andy,

Thank you!

I remember that issue, but was not able to get a copy. This is a big help. I think one of the IDF A2's is on display in Egypt. Maybe the one he saw.

I put a couple pictures in my gallery of the tanks I am researching. I haven't figured out this img thing yet.

Here are some pics from Magach tanks with the different engine deck. The main issue of research is the shape of the grilles behind the filter boxes.

Deff models provides these filters in their Magach 3 conversion set, which is superb.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a photo of the deck itself.

Nikos,

Thanks for the reply. The Vasco Barbic article helps, but a picture of the engine deck would be nice to have.

Andy,

Thanks for the pictures. I have plans for a 1967 M48A2C and there is always room for more pictures.

Randy
