MK35 Editions: Step Only Where I stepPosted: Friday, August 14, 2015 - 01:36 AM UTC
MK35 Editions has just announced a new resin 1/35th scale figure of a World War 2 MP. I have to admit I rather like this offering from them as I can see some interesting display options.

at is it with the gorilla hands on their figures? As soon as I see Mk35 I know before I look that the hands will be hopelessly out of proportion to the rest of the figure>

I've only seen the pictures but plenty of them. It seems to be a recurring theme. The hands always look way out of proportion hence I've never bought them. I wouldn't buy something that I think looks wrong as it would be a waste of money. :-)

Here is a picture showing our unassembled and unpainted F257 figure. You can clearly see that the hands are well proportioned. When you take photos with your camera some wide-angle lens are inclined to deform some parts on the picture such as helmet, head, hands, legs and so on... It's the reason why I asked to you if you really have one of our figures in your hands...

I have not observed an issue with the hands on MK35's figures. I did have one that had two left feet once due to a moulding issue.

I see your point. Accept my apologies MK. Maybe it would be an idea to post photos like that with the assembled kit in sales pics as I've avoided buying them due to this issue as it's put me off buying figures that I would have found useful. In future I shall seriously consider them.
