Hi everyone!
I've been workin on this on and off since April. It's Dragons 6418 with voyager PE and fruil tracks. This is my first russian build and I think it shows, not very knowledgable on the subject so bound the be more than a few factual error in my build Still been a lot of fun even though I've had troubles to figure out what fits on this certin type of T-34. So many versions!
Got put a bit on hold as we been renovating and my workbench have been packed up... Got the paint station up this week and got some paint on it, hope to finish during next week! Thought I would share some pics of what i had so far:
Here we go... Not very impressed with the fit of the kit. It does show a bit of age compared to brand spanking new toolings
PE in place. Was a good set. Wished they had included the front fenders as well...
Ready for primer. Added the last bits of PE after this pic was snapped
Primer and base coat. Everything that could go wrong during the paint session did. I even managed to tangle with the air hose sending the airbrush crashing onto the floor... Still came out ok I think!
Little bit of modulation and decals on. Microsol still working it's magic in pictures
So, thats where I'm at right now. Feel free to leave any comments and feedback you might have. As I'm really a novice when it comes to russian WW2 armor I'm sure there are TONS of things I've got wrong
Thanks for watching!

Hi Bob! I paint almost exclusively with Vallejo and for this particular green i used 3 colors:
74.602 Black Primer - Primer
71.094 Green Zinc Chrome - Basecoat
71.095 Pale Green - Highlights
I think right now the green might be a little bit "Toxic" but I think it will fade nicely with some oils and pigments!

started some weathering.
Am going for a kind of dirty, greasy look so went pretty heavy with the pinwash. Will see, might tone it down a bit. Also think the green might look a bit monochromatic still

Thanks! I agree about the KV, awesome subject!
Nothing more done one the tank but started to play around with some figgies. This is typically where all my builds grind to a halt but we'll see...
Nothing fancy, just dragons tank riders

Still plugging away. Actually just the lower hull and tracks left. I ran out of blacken it for the fruils so saved that for last. Will try to go for thicker & wetter mud to contrast the dry dust on top. See how that goes...

Looking nice, did you leave off the pistol ports covers on the turret for a reason?
