Was in my LHS the other day and the new Bronco Airborne figure set is out and $50 Canadian. Even the owner is in shock. In North America Dragon Models USA has the exclusive distribution rights, and they are sell it for $30 USD.

This kind of a money for a FOUR figure set? They are not resin, so why so highly priced?

Yeah that would convert to $50 CDN, I may age myself, but I remember four figure sets from Tamiya sell for less the $5.

I did look at Lucky Model, they are currently out of stock, but $24.99 USD, that would about £16.

They are kind of pricey, however you get four figures with all their gear plus a box full of other stuff. Set A includes the bike, PE and weapons sprues; Set B gives you two Welbikes, drop container, PE for the bike and PIAT, trolley, and weapons. Considering what you get it's not too unreasonable IMHO. If you shop around you'll find them for less than 30.

That "ridiculous" pricing has probably something to do with the distributors, They have to pay for the kit itself and also the custom fee, in Germany 19%. This higher price has to be goven to the LHS, who has to add his own marge of profit. No wonder that a set of figures is as high as 50 CAD. I was shocked when my lHS had Broncos MPCV Buffalo with Slat Armour for no less that 94 Euro(104 USD/67 GBP) THe same kit cost me in my favorite online shop 69 Euro(76 USD/49 GBP).
