Been pondering getting a Trumpeter kit - was curious if anyone has gotten a hold of their Chinese BJ212A Jeep with the Type 75 105mm Recoilless Rifle, and what they thought of the kit...

It looks good on the shelf, but the $24+ price tag seems kind of steep for a small soft skin, let alone a Trumpeter kit.

In the few years of its life in the US, Trumpeter kits run the gauntlet of horrible Tamiya copies (M60A1/A3, T-72M1, LVTP7A1, and others) to very nice renditions such as the M1A1/A2, A-10A, T-55 series, modern Chinese MBTs (Type 69/79/80). Also the new Finnish T-55 with dozer blade is supposed to be nice. How is the quality of Trumpeter kits generaly speaking ?

Jim,
Check out the very nice things that were said about this kit over on
Terry Ashely's site...
Seems that he thought it was a pretty nice little kit.
The sprues look very nice from where I'm sitting.
Enjoy,
Tim

I would imagine that it would be good. They get the Chinese stuff down pat. All of their Chinese variant tanks are very good kits.
