Definitely go with Trumpeter's kit.. and don't even think twice about it

Just my personal opinion, of course

Is it because of details or is there some scale accuracy the reason?

The level of detail.. the quality of the molding.. the fit of the parts. The ICM kit is an ancient kit compared to Trumpeter's kit. It's just a better kit in every aspect.

I'd pick Trumpeter's.

ICM's kit is usable, but the driver's door windows are undersized, the tires are very small, and overall detail is chunky. The kit is about 15 years old, and Trumpeter's has much better tooling. Once you've added resin wheels and photo etch details, the ICM kit is no bargain.

There is one thing that you should be made aware of.
The Trumpeter kit has a Magical Exhaust.
T he exhaust gets to the muffler from the engine without a pipe.

In other words there is no pipe provided to connect the engine to the Muffler, you'll have to scratch build one.

Thanks, you really made me laugh after I realized what you mean. When I started reading your post, I wanted to ask you what is Magical exhaust, but then I read the rest

Have both kits. Trumpeter hands down. Actually building a 4320 right now, as opposed to the ICM one, trumpeter kit is a very pleasant kit to build.

Hello modellers

I think both models ICM and Trumpeter have their faults. The perfect model does not exist. It is for the modeler from these models to make the best of it. Have built both kits. Here are two photos, the tanker is the starting kit ICM, the other of company Trumpeter.

Best regards LKWMAN
