Hi Robert
Welcome to the forums. If you're talking about doing an AS4, then the cut/shut happens between the 3rd & 4th road wheel stations. I've yet to work out where to make the cut on the upper body (roof) of the carrier. FWIW I would recommend holding off doing such work as John at Mouse House is working on a conversion set as we speak. Knowing the quality of MHE's other products, I can safely say the wait will be worth it

Hey, Robert... I started to lengthen one a long time ago, but never went through with it. I had seen a pic of one with a winch in the back.. but I never found that pic again
Hisham
Hisham,
This one?

If so, it was in another thread on stretching Australian M113's and I have it listed as a LAV MTR.

Hey, Bob... No, the pic I saw was a small pic.. the back area was surrounded with a screen kind of thing.. and the winch was a small one like the one that comes on the Academy IDF M113 engineering vehicle.. I thought I would use that winch on it. I tried to look for that pic all over, but I couldn't find it again.. But the one in your pic looks even more interesting, but I'm afraid the winch part is too much for my modelling skills

Hi Hisham
I guess it could be an Australian Army M806AS4 ARVL :

The original M806, tested but not adopted by the US Army :

The crane-fitted variant is called M113AS4 AF :

H.P.

Hey, Henri-Pierre.. No, I'm afraid that's not it. It's actually the same kind of thing like the one in Bob's pic (the back open like a pick-up truck) but the sides aren't solid like that.. they're a frame with a mesh screen type thing. I think maybe it was just a prototype or something.. not an actual vehicle in service.

Thanks guys . If anyone els has appended this please post up thanks.
It's for a bit of a Sci fi build I am doing. Did consider buying I think it was the Canadian or Danish resin kit to lenghten the m113 but at 100$ plus donner and I wasn't gonna use half of the stuff that came with it any way. thought the 2 acdamey kits would be a better option.
All so if mouse house is doing the as4 ute then I'll will be for sure buying one. That is a cool looking track.
