I am building tiger 3/14/113 from s.Pz-Abt 505, summer of 1943. This would have been before the engine exhaust shields were used. Am I right in thinking I should cut off the 4 square mounting studs on the rear hull plate where each exhaust shield is mounted? I just want to make sure before I remove them.

The red circled items on left show 4 of the 8

I see that you're building Dragon's 6820, but I must ask you to clarify what Tiger you're modelling. I can't find a 3/14/113 in the 505, if those are turret numbers that you refer to?

That Tiger was issued with exhaust shields, which got lost. So you should leave all 12 mounting studs on the rear wall. This is the first Dragon kit that allows you to do that OOB, so please tell me how it works out for you.

The leftmost of the 3 bolts in the escape hatch hinge, got lost while the Tiger was still numbered "3".

The loader's hatch was the welded type. I believe that part C1 represents that. Please check?

The Kff2 holes above the driver's visor were open, so use part N6.

And the bad news; it had a mantlet that's not in the box. Something much like this one;

And that is why I didn't put this Tiger on the decal sheet.

I bought that mantlet from Panzer art, so I am good there. Thanks for the other info! I'll check the rest this evening.

For the lost hatch bolt, I assume I just cut it off and drill a hole there to represent the lost bolt, right.

It's embedded. You'll be just drilling.
