Hi. I have sprayed a model Hemmt gun truck with a Gunze Sanyo[Mr.Hobby aqueous] sand colour mix[33531/Tamiya buff] but it is a bit too dark. I'd like some help on what enamels I can use as washes or filters to lighten it up to something closer to the Iraqi war scenario.. I'm not sure what enamel type paint Mr.Hobby has and if it is compatible with their acrylic. Cheers.

Typically washes and filters darken or alter the tone of the color. For lightening the actual color i would suggest you create a lighter mix of your base coat and apply that in misted coats with your airbrush

Although you may use a filter with white+buff or similar light colour, I agree with Johan: the easiest way is to correct the base colour with the airbrush

I've never attempted to carry out misting. Can you elaborate ?

just a fancy word... Thin the paint a bit more than you would normally and then lay down several thin translucent layers of paint on top of the base color. This way the colors will (hopefully
