The Eduard set of wading stacks for 1/35 Shermans is made from etched metal, how do I go about priming and painting these large flat surfaces?

Hi Willem
I first pass my etched parts over the stove in the kitchen, to soft the metal.
To primer I use Sherwin Williams spray can, Krylon or Now Depends of the market I guess. It's an acylic enamel paint dry in minutes and left a smooth surface. Also I apply UT to the whole model. Later I use mig or another acrylic paint to the base color. I don't use enamels.

A glass fibre pen is a great way to prep PE parts by 'keying' the surface. Tamiya surface primer sticks to it like nothing else.

I clean them with soap and water while still on the fret, then use Tamiya primer after assembly. Never had an issue.
