Hey there guys,
I am wondering if anyone happens to remember the article or the procedure for building an airsupply tank. I remeber a few years ago, Fine Scale Modeler printed an article on how to build an airtank airsupply. It mentioned getting the portable airtank, regulator, gauges and fittings from Sears. I tried looking for that article, so I can build one, but I can't find it.
So if anyone has any info on it, I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Joe

You can also build a air tank from FREON tanks (large ones used by auto garages), The sell kits that have the tip conversion, Gauge and hose...I have heard of people making them from empty propane tanks from gas grills....Finally.. Campell Hausfeld's sell a 11 gallon tank (can blow up 15 car tires) for about $30....complete online

thanks alot guys for your help. that propane conversion looks interesting. would you know if there would be any propane gas leftover odor? i live in an apartment, so i refrain from using my compressor late at night. i also wouldn't want someone calling the fire dept. on me if they smell the gas.

If you pick up osprey's book on airbrushing, this tell you how to make a compressor from easy to find parts maybe worth hunting it out
