Are they only doing russian things these days, is that selling so well? Is it just me that thinks like that... But it has been a little to much lately now as almost all they released the last year are russian... Dont understand me wrong, it's great that they release it but it must be possible to release something else also for all others that dont want to build russian....

Actually yes it is...I've heard through contacts that they've seen 300-400% increases in sales with Soviet Armor items.

I've also heard the inverse about WW1 subjects...they don't sell nearly as well...even though there seems to be pent up demand for it.

The Soviet/Russian stuff pretty much doesn't have any competition since Dragon kits of the early 90's unlike modern US/NATO stuff (Tamiya, Dragon, Meng, AFV Club, etc.). Plus, they also tried with some previously unreleased other countries AFV's (e.g. Italian Ariete, Brazilian Osorio, etc.) and e.g. there's a US Patriot SAM system being released just about now.

Hi Everybody;

O.K. I will offer A Rebuttal to All the Critics who cant understand why there is all this Russian Stuff.
For One; They are the only Country that are Producing New Military Equipment on A Quantity Scale !! Its What They Do,--They are in the Arms Market !!
Second; IMHO its really smart to get this kind of Partnership as this will only make your kits Better and get Free Advertisment.
Third; "Why"--Because Russian Vehicles are such an Enigma to the Western World, how many Varients can you Ident, on A Tiger-1 or A Panther !! Now then take A look at A T-72 or the T-90.
Fourth; A Kit Maker is Smart if they Inject New Kits of A New vehicle into the Market, something New is Always going to Sell Well unless its Not Accurate,or gets A Bad Rap !!
Fifth; We have Enough Nuts & Bolt Counters to make sure of that !!!!!!!!

CHEERS; MIKE.

It will be very interesting to see Meng's releases in the light of their recent announcement of the extensive co-operation with Uralvagonzavod, the factory that manufactures the T-90MS.
