Are the uniforms for the mortar crew and the MG team appropriate for D-Day landing?
Are there any instances where a Mortar team was able to set up to fire inland from Omaha?

Alan the uniforms are good, as for setting up a mortar on the beach, Ive no idea but I imagine it would be near suicide without cover... KO'd tank? could be a great dio

Yep,uniforms work as was already stated. There was cover on the beach behind the erosion wall and a bunch of guys sought cover there. These light mortars could be put in action very quickly with a well trained crew, providing they all survived the trip across that deadly beaches' kill zones!!
