Hi folks. I'm looking for a single 1/35 figure that could be used to represent an RAF regiment vehicle crewman of ww2. Relaxed pose preferably, battledress, headgear I'm not choosy about - beret, sidecap or SD (officer) cap, all would be applicable.
I've found one by SKP but the sculpting doesn't seem that well defined.

Any ideas?

Hi Dave,

What theatre of War? Those serving in the desert seem to wear the bsic shirt and shorts of the army, only their cap colour showing the difference. See the MiniARt British Jeep Crew.

The BD as I recall was the same also with only a colour difference.

Have a look at some of the Wee Friends Figures and also Royal Models.

Hi Alan

Europe or Italy, so BD would be khaki, and the beret or sidecap blue. I could use Miniart or Masterbox, but it seems a waste to buy the set for one figure. I want it to pose with a CMP Otter

Plenty (well fewer than German, obviously!) of options. Hornet/Wolf and Ultracast come to mind immediately but for similar cost you could invest in a set as suggested and add Hornet heads, which would give you other options for future Commonwealth crewmen.

I've gone for the SKP figure, the pose is what swung it - and the £4.90 price tag

In my experience squaddie's (even if they're really rockapes) spend a lot of time in this position...........
