Goodday all,

Since I'm a bit more convinced in making (small) diorama's I would like to share my new project.
As I wanted something civil, and yet related to military vehicle's, this idea came up. I think the photo's speaks for themselves.
Later on I added a slope where I will make a ditch which are not on the photo's yet.

Thanks for watching! Oh, and besides to poor quality of the photo's, I will make better ones next time

Thanks Jerry,

The focus is back to the model again. Weathering stages are on the way!

Hi,

The materials used for the tree are metal wire ( the ones I used are supposed to be used for binding plants together without the plastic green cover around it), flexible tile glue and sea foam.

Making the tree itself is really easy. Just cut of about 60 strands which are 2 feet long. Bend them on two fingers twice. Split each " strand" and continue bending. Then split in two, and so on.. and so on.. But! How longer the strands how larger the tree eventually will be. The more strands you use the thicker the tree will become but you can make more branches.

The flexible tile glue is dilluted with water, but just enough to make it sticky. Then I used an old brush to cover up the metal wires and when the tile glue is still "wet" I "planted" the seafoam.

It took about 4 hours to make. Still have to paint and add some washes.
Hope this helps.

Hilbert

Today I have added some pinwashes to the vehicle. Also painted the wooden parts on the rear. But, i'm not so happy of the backplate from the cabin. The sides are not.. anyway, what can I do about it? I also did some washing to the rust.

Thanks for watching!

Looking forward to seeing this one develop Hilbert, something I've never tried before weathering a vehicle to that extent, & yours is looking good!
Are you going to add more foilage around that long grass, looks abit isolated at the moment. Groundwork looking good..!

Simon.
