This is the Meng Late Achzarit model, picked up at an air show, of all places for just over £20.00 so was a bargain. Work starts with the suspension and building the wheels (from 5 parts) and they look fantastic once they have been painted;

Next up is the interior and the multitude of chairs, some fiddly parts but in the whole they build up quite quick and have excellent detail on them, base coated in black and then an over spray in white to define the details and a quick light sand wash is applied.

. The floor of the interior is one piece and added to this are the bench and seats, the walls are built separately with various bits and bobs added, ammo racks, fire extinguishers, control boxes and batteries. Again the interior was base coated in black with an overspray of white

chipping was added with AK Chipping colour and a coat of slight sand wash was run into the nooks and crannies and removed with a damp flat brush. Pigments were brushed in and to the corners and then the model tipped upside down to remove any excess pigment. The floor was then highlighted with an artists pencil to bring out the tread on the floor, where it would be scuffed.

Started on the replacement Modelkasten tracks;

Great details and go together very well, if not time consuming;

And the Best bit; they fit the Meng drive sprockets perfectly;

Unfortunately T-55 tracks are incorrect for the Achzarit with late, "western" suspension...

This is exactly why I don't post pics of my work on here. NO constructive criticism, not even a word of encouragement for what is actually a pretty good looking start. How about telling everyone what the RIGHT tracks are rather than just a bland and unhelpful statement like the one you just made....?

the right tracks would be of the merkava 2d batash

I guess the pattern is included in the meng kit

they can also be found under friulmodels tracks and spade ace

look em up on ebay and all major hobby shops

once again your work is inspiring ::)

There are currently no aftermarket tracks of the "Batash" pattern ( I saw 3D Printed set on Shapeways, but they were expensive and I do not know how the quality is)
Correct tracks are included in Meng kit. If You want to make an accurate model, You should stay with Meng tracks.

Once coated in sand / dirt you wont see anything of the pattern. Meng tracks just kept falling apart, plus when lined up side by side i couldnt see any difference.
