Without seeing the photos you're referring to, a "late", or bet* in Hebrew, Achzarit low intensity conflict (LIC) vehicle has the large "aquarium" cupola, and can be fitted with towing horns at the front.
"Early", or alef in Hebrew, Achzarits (with T-55 wheels), had the smaller "dog house" commander's cupola.
There are other features to a true bet Achzarit LIC like the Katlanit RCWS, two vents in the roof of the vehicle, and a tactical window in the rear ramp.
PM me with an email address if you want photos of the differences.
Hope this helps,
Kylie
