I mean the WW1 type not pop'n fresh. I'm working on a WW1 diorama for a local museum. Does any one know of 1/35 scale World War 1 American infantry? Either out now or coming out soon? I'm looking for figures in assault stances crossing no mans land. Thanks in advance.

There aren't any 1/35 WWI Doughboys or Marines yet. I forget who, (ICM, I think) will be doing Doughboys, and I don't know in what kind of poses, either. An "Over the Top" set might be nice...

Thanks Dennis, I'll have to keep on the look out they would like to open the exhibit in spring 2016. I hope something comes out. I may have to mod some Brits.

There are figures in "soft plastic" from Emhar and they probably have the poses you're looking for.
Before the usual gang knocks down soft plastic figures they just require a few different preparation techniques and you'll get as good a result as from other mediums. I used to do WWI figures on commission in 1/72 but the larger figures are similar.
If I can do units of Serbian and Hungarian cavalry you can do some "doughboys"
There are some 120mm US WWI figures as well as a few metal figures but not enough for what you are proposing. If you're really impatient you could convert available WWI or WWII figures to US uniforms and gear. Or just wait for the ICM guys.

Steve Zaloga made one for his Schneider dio. IIRC It was a converted japanese wwII figure from Pit Road or similar...

If you can find them there was the Scale Link line of figures. I have a couple in my stash and their line was once quite extensive. There were also two Truro 1/35 US figures. One in 1917 uniform with hat and leggings and the other in gasmask.

Here's another alternative, if you're experienced- You could also convert British WWI figures into US Doughboys or Marines, without having to do a lot of major work. The British WWI Army uniforms were very similar US WWI Army & Marine uniforms...

ICM have announced both US Infantry 1917 (kit nr.35689) and sepearate equipment set (nr.35688) for release in autumn 2015, but no definte release date is available yet. The equipment set alone would be very useful for converting other infantry kits to US troops. I see that Hannants have this kit marked as expected in november.

Everyone thinks that and though they look similar there are noticeable differences. Many don't get past the small pouches and the helmet. However the trousers were actually tapered breeches and the collar was a stand collar whereas Brits had a fall collar. Trust me on this I've looked long and hard at doing it. You put a WWI "doughboy" next to a WWI "tommy" and the profile is markedly different.
Twenty years ago I wanted WWI infantry and totally reworked World War II Germans into British and German infantry and that was a real chore stripping the figure down to basic tunic and then scratch-building everything. Tapering the trousers and making a stand collar was too much even for a masochist me. I got the Scale Link figures after I couldn't find any suitable Japanese infantry to convert. World War II Japanese have a nearly identical uniform with the breeches and stand collar.
It's so much easier to just wash, prime, pre-paint, paint and seal the Emhar figures and be done with it.
