What is the difference between these 4 kits? Just from looking at the box art, I do not see any big differences?

Are all FOUR kits containing Russian / Soviet markings?

#1530 BMP-3E IFV
#0364 BMP-3 MICV Early Version
#1528 BMP-3 IFV
#1529 BMP-3F IFV

I know the other 3 boxes not listed here are for Cyprus service, Korean Service and UAE service. Also there is the version with the box like ERA kit #365

Check here for details, but there are differences in the wheels, troop hatches, turret applique, hull details, sprockets, and so forth.

All of those four have the hull and turret shells in common, along with sprues A - E, T, and PE-A. In addition

1528 adds J, L, M, GP.
1529 adds J, L, R, GP, PE-C.
1530 adds J, N, S, GP, PE-C.
0364 adds G, H, K, L, M.

Hi;

Other than what KL has already listed, Basic versions were BMP-3 Pre-Production version first offered to the Russian Armed Forces as A Basic IFV; BMP-3 Production version with Lazer Range Finder mounted above the Guns; BMP-3E Export versions already noted, including Malaysia; BMP-3F Version using the Arena Defence system that was Developed for the MBTs and was Not Adopted as being to Expensive. Other Versions made on the BMP-3 Hull were A ARV, and A Anti-Tank version using the Kornet Missile.

CHEERS; MIKE.

As far as I understand (hope someone can correct me if this is wrong) 0364 is correct for machines produced in the late 80's, 01528 is like 90's production, 1530 is the upgraded version with a new sight and I do not know what 1529 represents. It would be great if someone had some more information!

The version with ERA, 00365, is another Russian version but as far as I understand is not in service. Maybe I can find a video of it, somewhere, if you need.

I would say that letter F in BMP-3F stands for "Flot", that means "Marines"... Hope I am not mistaken, this vehicle is tailored specially for Russian Naval Infantry.

Yes, the F version is optimized for Naval Infantry; I think it has better sea-keeping properties and/or swimming endurance.

Thank you for the replies.
I am also looking to buy the most current version used by the Russian ground forces. After looking at the 1999.Co.Jp website, I am inclined to presume that the E version is the newest. Wikipedia mentioned a upgrade to the gunner's sight. The E version instruction sheet seems to suggested a large mounted sight on the turret top. I wonder what the E stands for ? E for Ekranami = add on armour? There seems to be a belt of spaced armor around the turret.

Have only seen BMP 1's and 2's in the Ukraine. The Russian army hardly has any BMP-3's as most have been exported.

BMP-3E is the most current version in use by the Russians in kit form. No BMP-3's in the Ukrainian conflict.
