I am working on a M4A4, like in the reference picture.
Progress has been slow as I am still rebuilding my spares box, and waiting for casting supplies and detail sets to show up. Not to mention relearning how to make things. I made up a fake engine top to give some detail inside the rear hull screen. Tracks will be the Panda British chevron.
Having been out of touch with modeling for about 10 years I got the Tank Art book on WWII Allied Armor to teach me some painting skills.
Any hints, tips, suggestions...

Looks great already, haven't seen the tow pintle like that much. What engine set are you using or are you scratchbuilding that?

The "engine" is just the top row of cylinders with some added fittings. Not 100% accurate, but enough to be seen once painted light engine gray with black attachments.
The odd tow hook shows up enough in Normandy for me to want it on my tank to show the cluttered rear plate. Free French M4A4's are plain in comparison.

Hope the link works, I found it here on Armorama. There are several French M4A4's that are almost as built on display, knocked out in France.
