Here's Takom's 30.5 cm. Not going to bore people with a build log as it's been done before, and, anyway it took less than a week to complete. I made some alterations on the sliding breech block, which is hardly noticeable at elevation, and added additional bolt heads around the barrel housing collar, as per photo references. Takom's separate bolt heads, while a good idea, were not very sharp, and need a lot of careful cleanup, so I substituted some O scale ones from Tichey.

Dio will be Spring/Summer 1942 during the siege of Sevestapol. Comments/suggestions?

Looks a little barren and abandonned at the moment. I'm working on a few crew figures.

That looks GREAT! I love this kit. I just finished mine this week, and did the exact same thing: buried the platform and made a plank ramp behind it. (I painted mine green for the Royal Hungarian Army) I didn't fix the breech block like you did, though. I can post pictures later if you're interested.

Might I suggest adding some tools? Like a ramming staff, chamber swab, bucket, etc.

Fine work!!!!

Hi Biggles,

Very nice job. I like very much.

Waiting to see some crew busy to load ammo and bringing life to this great baby.

Cheers

Tools and accessories will be coming with some figures, but most of my figures have to be modified. It takes longer to modify figs than to build the gun!
