Why junking? I'm also glad I didn't order the Takom's one yet, not because I consider it junk, but because I will be able to compare them before making a choice if I wait for the Meng release. I may still decide to get the Takom one, but it will be informed decision.

Any new Chieftain related kits being released is good to me.

Had to pinch myself when I heard this!

(Of course I just ordered the 3 Takoms!)

Well maybe Meng can do ARV and bridgelayer versions

Haven't Accurate Armour already done a Chieftain ARV based on the Tamiya? So adapting the parts to fit the takom kit would be simple for them.

I wait who wins the battle and work on my Panzer 87 semi scratch build instead.

AA have done the two ARV variants of the Chieftain as conversions for the Tamiya kit. Personally I see no point adapting mine to Takom or in future Meng, as in the end you only see the roadwheels and tracks of the base kit, I got Friuls for the tracks and the Tamiya base kits in the stash already. I'll probably buy the Meng kit to make a dozer tank (have the AA conversion for that one as well).

Cheers,

Christophe

Takom will release Mk.2 soon, not Meng. Meng will release Mk.10 first, but it will probably not be released for another couple of months.

People confuse Takom with Meng all the time. This is the only Mk.2 that is coming soon:
