Does anyone know if the US-made M51 Multiple Machine Gun carriage (with the quad 50s on the 4 wheeled trailer) was ever sent as Lend Lease materiel?

Hi Ray,
Here is a link that purports to be the only public record of lend-lease sent from the US to the USSR.
http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/pearl/www.geocities.com/Pentagon/6315/lend.html
The list isn't very specific about weapons systems, so may not be helpful. It is interesting how much non weapon stuff was sent.
As for Me, I don't believe the M2 .50 cal was issued to ground forces who had planty of their own DshKa...or however it's written home-grown Soviet .50 cal.
Good Luck,
Gary

I don't know about the M51, but I believe the Red Army got the M17 MGMC.
This page has a pic of some Red Army guys standing on an M17.

Thanks guys. I'm very familiar with the Soviets' use of the M17 Machine Gun Motor Carriage (the M45 Maxson turret on the International Harvester half track)
I'm specifically looking for info on the M51 -- the mating of the M45 Maxson turret and the M7 trailer

They only received the M17 M5 based halftrack. I have never seen any reference to the M51 being supplied under lend lease or pictures.

[Was] the US-made M51 Multiple Machine Gun carriage . . . sent as Lend Lease materiel?
Yes. The Free French received 448 M51s as Lend-Lease supplies. They were the only country to get them.

Thanks Kurt. Was wondering about something interesting to put behind a Studebaker US6 truck and I have the M51 on the drawing board. Maybe it'll go French behind a GMC 2.5 ton instead....

You could use one of the Trumpeter M30 122mm howitzers with limber. I'm pretty sure I've seen a picture of that.
In fact, I've got one for sale, $30
