I thought the engine deck was supposed to be that the appeerance was the configeration of the grills did not match the real tank, nothing to do with the fit.

As I remember, someone, somewhere, rebuilt a whole new section for the engine deck which was incorrect and two short. Or was that for a different MiniArt Pz lll? I see they have the B, C, and D models Pz lll.

I believe THE NEW TMD makes a resin "Corrections" Engine Deck Update for this series, Ausf.B, C, & D. Let's see how BRONCO does with their upcoming Ausf.A...

BRONCO had a "release date" for their new Ausf.A of September, 2015. Wonder if they'll make it by the end of December?

Gents, I have no experience building the kit, so I can't say, but I heard it was a fit issue. I have not seen a resin correction at TMD so far, but have heard Joe is working on one. If it's out, please PM me someone so I can purchase three. The MA kits all all more or less identical in structure, though the side panels are different with each kit. And thanks, Fred, I am happy to see the final four Pz. IIIs in styrene. I don't expect much better from Bronco, since I suspect they borrowed the molds from MA as they ended up doing with the Horsa kit.

You mean the "first four Pz. IIIs". Dragon alone has released about 5 ausf K/L/M/N Panzer IIIs in the last year alone.

Could have sworn I saw a photo of this "correction kit" somewhere on TMD's site- I just went back to TMD's site and couldn't find any such thing!?! Maybe somewhere else? Guess I'll do some searching and get back to you... I seem to remember that it was shown in GRAY resin...

Very nice and informativ review. How good is this kit compared to Dragons Pz III releases? It would be nice to have somr more competition on this market.

Hi, Jacob, I agree some competition is always a good thing. The MA kits are very different from the usual DML ones: almost no PE, workable tracks, lots of "fiddly bits" instead of simplifications. I checked the DML Pz. III Ausf. E and F and they have no turret basket (but no foot rests or other internal detail, either). The molding is crisp and overall I was pleased enough to purchase the other two MA Pz. III kits (Ausf. B and C).
