Hi guys, I'm working on a base which I'm going to use as a photo-base, (so I can take more attractive pictures of different vehicles.)
Now I added some vines on a wall, useing a twigg and dried herbs, now for my question: Do I need to paint the leaves, or can I leave them the way the look?
Is there a way of "fixing"the leaves before dry-brushing, because I'm afraid that a lot of the leaves will come off whilst dry-brushing.
Thanks in advance, John.

Yes, I would paint them as they will fade in time. I don't know what you used to glue them with so my suggestion would be airbrush them, which will help adhear them better. Then try to dry brush with a very soft brush.

Even dried herbs will turn brown. So, you need to seal them anyway. If the color is realistic enough, just seal them with a clear-coat. Otherwise, consider a little use of green and yellow for variation. If they are too dry or fragile for an air-brush or dry-brushing, consider washes. But, again, when done, seal it.

John, that's a very nice looking vine but I am not sure how you would paint that with an airbrush without betting green paint all over building. Since the colors seem to be OK I would just apply some clear coat to seal them properly and forger about airbrushing it.

I would go to the florist or arts and craft store and look at the dried foliage. This stuff is already dried and dyed so it won't fade. When you find an appropriate foliage with the right sized leaves, just strip the leaves off the branches or stalks and apply them the same way as with the oregano.
