Here's that pic of the Ankor Wat souvenir piece:

The item is made of plaster of paris, or hydrocal. I improved and added the stonework, and repainted it.

More specifically, it's the Bayon, at Ankor Thom, not far from Ankor Wat.

Nice score! (pun intended)

Is it solid? I mean is the back flat?

I've heard of mold masters being impregnated with CA. Just letting the CA soak in for strength maybe

Yeah, the back is flat. Just a simple open back mold. Although the casting material is some sort of cheap crumbly stuff. Maybe plaster of paris mixed with something fibrous. When I get "a round toowit", I'm thinking of giving it a couple of coats of varnish. At least that will seal it.
