RESEARCHING IMAGES FOR A DINGO 2 BUILD. IVE COME ACROSS A FEW PHOTOS WHICH SEEM TO SHOW WATER BOTTLES,CABLE TIED TO ARIEL UPSTANDS OR TO THE FRONT GRILL OF VEHICLES. OUT OF CURIOSITY ANYBODY EXPLAIN THIS PRACTICE?

Without seeing a picture, I'd say it's to hold IR light sticks so you can keep track of the other vehicles in your section. You need night vision gear to see the light, which the bad guys don't tend to have.

definitely to hold light sticks. They're taped/cable tied on upside down so that when the light stick (cylume) is spent it can be easily removed. I modelled this in my recent AFV Modeller feature on the Challenger 2.
