I am finally getting around to completing the Dragon M48A3 (Mod B) that I reviewed here a while ago. As those who have built it know, the kit decal options suck. I have been looking for USMC tanks to mark it after and have been coming up short. I am not really finding any pics that show conclusively that the USMC used Mod Bs in Vietnam. Does anyone have any good pics showing them and their markings?

If I can't find any, I may just use the Tamiya M48A3 USMC markings on it. I know they are for a standard M48A3, but so be it.

I tried hunting some footage on Critical Past but I am not knowledgeable concerning the M48 and the variants of that tank. There are a good number of clips but I didn't come across any that would provide a one-stop shop for clarity of markings.

Thanks Mike. I came to that conclusion when I couldn't find any pics of them that was for sure in 'Nam.

I decided to go with the kit's decals for "Wild One 4" from 919 Engineers, 11 ACR. I had to alter the decals slightly as they had H ACR instead of 11 ACR, and 919 ENC instead of 919 ENG.

By the way, does anyone have the kit decals #s 6 and 9, "11 ACR-X" and "919 ENG - 10" left over from their build?

If so, I could use them for the rear of the tank. I can pay for them or have lots to trade. Let me know.
