Fantastic painting and weathering job. A quick question, what did you first use to create the texture on the steel? Did you use MR Surfacer on it? A fine looking model. Best regards...Dale

I have to ask a couple questions:

1) What is on the surface of the model kit? Looks like old paint partially stripped off. Is that an intended effect?

2) While I like the techniques used in the weathering, I have to ask how a vehicle that couldn't possibly be more than 1m year old could possibly get that beaten up? Unless it is supposed to be a WW II vehicle that's been left abandoned for 15 years, how could it possibly get that worn in the inevitably short lifespan of a vehicle at that point in the war?

Respectfully,

Paul

On image 1 you mean? That grey looks is tamiya putty grey!
That's indeed to look like the paint is several times repainted.
For the second question is simple The allies never won the war II and germany keeps continue the war
That's what we call here "WHAT IF....."
can you image?
i dont like to make historical tanks coming straight from the factory, then i better buy a matchbox from the box.

i have here a nice photo

Cool. Does the trick, too. I'll have to remember that one.

Oh I definitely can. I do what Ifs all the time.

Now it's just my interpretation of things, but I'd imagine that the Germans, if they were well enough supplied to remain in the war, would have also been disciplined enough to keep their vehicles reasonably well maintained. On the other hand, an E-25 passed on to a 3rd rate power that doesn't do any maintenance would result in a vehicle that looks like this, something in the Congo in the mid 60s, say, or in Somalia today. Now _those_ tanks look like complete wrecks because they are poorly maintained.

But that's just me. I have a tendency to overthink things...

It certainly does looks good, though.

Paul
