Hi Gang,
I found in one of my books some pics of an experimatal urban camo pattern from 2002.
http://www.maquetland.com/article-phototheque/430
Could be an alternative to the "NATO" pattern for Tiger Models VBL and AMX-10RCR.
Maybe our French friends can get us some deeper insight.

Looks like a rehash of the old Berlin Brigade urban camo.

or a small step towards "digi-cam"
(lots and lots and lots of infernal little squares ...)
I like the camouflage coveralls in one of the pictures though ... looks like the clothes I use when painting the house ....

AMX-10RC in "Camouflage urbain" scheme :

You can notice how effective it is in front of a village house

I think there were photos by the late Yves Debay in one of the Assault softcover books from Concord.

Cheers,

Very cool, indeed! Any clues on the colors used?

According to the link at the beginning...

"The camouflage consists of a square-shaped surface with 3-tone gray ochre and sand
This painting washable was applied upon the traditional Nato camo "

If you have ever seen any of the Philippines Marine Corps armor you will see there is a good bit of it in a urban camo just like this.
