Hello folks.

I have an odd request regarding Stug IV schurzen dimensions and was hoping someone in the community might have an answer. I recently purchased Dragon's Stug IV late version 6043 and was disappointed that no schurzen is included with this kit. I could buy some aftermarket PE for it but I think I have come up with another way to solve this problem. I have a plotter with a cutter and am able to score thin styrene with it. The only thing I don't have are the dimensions for the schurzen. I have scoured my other Dragon kits (Brummbar late, Jagdpanzer IV late,) but neither kit yields much help. About the closest thing I have come to is schurzen from Tamiya's Stug III G late. They seem to be the correct shapes (as far as Stug's go) but the Stug III has 4 sections of schurzen where as the Stug IV has 5. I am wondering if anyone could offer their thoughts and insight or if they have schurzen from a Stug III and could compare it to their Stug IV or if they know for a fact that the schurzen was interchangeable between the two vehicles. I know it's an odd request but maybe someone has already gone through the trouble and have made their own already.

Thanks in advance for any input in this strange matter,

Doug

May be an optical illusion on account of that camo, but it looked like the front plate join was a bit further back.

Now I'm not so sure!

Always good to double check drawings though.

Thank you all for the replies, suggestions, photos, and drawings. I am sure I can turn this information into a set of schurzen. I actually went to the hobby store this afternoon and bought some styrene of the properly thickness. It's going to be a fun little project using the plotter/cutter machine. The hardest part will be bending all the U shaped schurzen hangers. I'll probably use some lighter weight steel rod. Try to drill them in and glue and hopefully not poke through!

Nick Turner, that is actually the vehicle that I am going to replicate. Already have a few masks made up with that camo pattern on them. Always thought that was such an interesting vehicle because of that camo.

Thanks again everyone and I'll have to let you know how this little project turns out!
