Hey,
I was looking into buying a replacement filter for the respirator mask I'm using for airbrushing and stumbled upon two different mask versions, one with a single filter and one with two filters. Does anybody know what the difference is?
I'm currently using the single filter version and am quite happy with it.
Here are two examples:
Thanks!

I'm no expert, but recently I was using an angle grinder on concrete. I was wearing a single filter mask and soon found it was clogged with fine dust. I believe that since all of my breath was going through one filter, it clogged up twice as fast, twice as often as a double filter mask.
For protection from whatever you don't want to breathe in, there are dufferent grades of filters to fit both single and double filter types. Some block dust only, and some block the scary things.

You probably want a filter for organic solvents.

Those are the A1 class filters, right?

Hi,
Masks with two filters eases respiration because they allow more air to pass reducing the force you need to do to inhale.
They also don´t clog so fast and are usually used for heavy work.
They are heavier and if you feel confortable using only one filter keep with it.
The protection is given by the filter type not for their number.
