In the last few months Russia delivered to Syria T-72B ERA.
And apparently, the T-90A.
This appeared today on the internet, T-90 in Aleppo????

It seems more and more everyday this war is starting to look just like the Spanish Civil War in the 30's.

And which side would be the modern equivalent of the "neo-imperialistic fascist" side


Syria(i.e. as ruled by Assad) is the only real foothold that Russia have got in the eastern Mediterranean (or the Middle East for that matter) so supporting Assad makes sense from a Russian point of view.
