Blast Models just released several new sets for upgrading 1/35 scale Panhard VBL from Tiger Models... wheels, interior, exterior, extra armor, anti IED, you name it, it's all there.

The sets look really nice.. but I think I'll hold off on ordering them until I see what we "might" see from Tiger-Model in plastic, like they did with the .50 cal turret... But I might just order the interior set.. it looks like a great improvement over the kit interior.

Very nice looking sets, would those exterior and interior sets for a 90's vehicle as used in the Balkans? (UNPROFOR, IFOR, SFOR etc)

I'm not sure for the wire cutter but the rest of the sets are correct for the Balkans deployment era. I haven't seen the radio sets though. If I remember correctly, the radios in this time frame should be the former TRVP13 family and not the PR4G current ones.

I'd like to see a photo (HP?) of the armor kit on the real deal, maybe in Mali? This is definitely on the 2016 wishlist, or for Christmas.

Here are two from Afghanistan
I'm not sure the add-on armor has been fitted to those deployed in Mali (Operation Serval)...
But it is used in Niger (Operation Barkhane) :

Used in Lebanon as well.
For more pics, have a look at my site, there is a series of this armor.

Thanks Olivier, I appreciate that information (sorry for the late response).
Looks like the ZXL wheels/tires don't show up on a lot of pics in Afghanistan etc.

I guess those wheels are very recent so I think they were not fitted on VBL in Afghanistan.
