I am doing a US 40mm Bofors using the AFV Club kit and their accessory ammunition set. My question is: which of the four types of ammunition boxes would be appropriate for a late war Pacific theater gun? I'd like to display several open boxes with the 4-round clips visible, but don't know which box from that set to use. By internetting around, I 'think' that one of the boxes that set is for a British gun and that the wooden boxes might be for individual rounds packed in cardboaard tubes. Not sure. How would gun crews have stored ready rounds in clips? Thanks for any help offered!

Not the C219 (do a web search for C219 Bofors box to see the design) as they were British. The ones with recessed square ends and a body with curved edges and rotating locks on the end are certainly US though. They are very common on naval vessels in Mare Island Navy Yard refit photos. Can't remember the others.
