Greetings all.
Recently ive picked up trumpeters 1/35 LCM 3 with the intention of converting it into the LCM 6 vietnam ACT H landing pad for helicopters.
Im stumbling slightly on reliable information.
Ive learned from wiki that the only difference between the LCM 3 and the LCM6 is a matter of 6ft added and extra guns.
So im hoping that i can simply use the LCM 3 but i am pondering on the hull itself as it seems to look to thin. Also the profile looks different or did they just add pieces to the 6's during vietnam which seemed to change the profile.

As you will see at the links above, there was a lot more changed than just 6 feet added in length. The whole hull was changed with added flotation blocks on the sides, seat inserts inside. A deck added over the rear section of the hold, a superstructure added, etc., etc., etc...
The easier way to get one is to invest in the excellent Masterpiece Models resin ATC-H.
