Hi folks -

I am considering doing an M60 from the first gulf war as part of a group build on another site. I would love to add a TWMP to it but there just aren't any kits out there of the plow or the M60 with the plow. So what I'm thinking I may do, is try to get a replacement sprue for the plow out of the Tamiya M1A1 with plow kit and then attach it onto the Tamiya M60 already in the stash.

So I figured I would ask for some advice here and maybe start a lively discussion on what it would take to mount the M1's plow on the M60. I'm sure I'm not the only inquiring mind out there!

Thanks guys
Mike

It doesn't take any modification. It mounts right onto the M60 hull. The actual one was designed to fit the M60 before the M1. I built one many years ago exactly like you described.

If you use the Tamiya one that may well work with no fuss. I used the DML TWMP and had to widen the tow hook mounts slightly to get it to fit. The plow's measurements may have been off a tad, but as it worked out, the mounts are barely visible underneath.

Admittedly that takes some of the steam out of my thread! LOL but thanks Gino, that really simplifies things.
