Hey, thanks to the Hobby Lobby Coupon, I got a Tamiya Marder III. So far, this is a good kit, good suspension, 10 fingers, 10 toes, and a lot of decals. Any info on the Marder III would help me, both model info, and the real thing. Thanks for your time.

No, you're not being shunned! I bought mine last night at the Lob too and will see what I can find out.

Which kit did you buy ?? the Marder M or the the earlier model? Both kits are nice right out of the box ...Sure there is always room for improvement but which kit isn't .....the only thing that comes to mind is on the M you should thin down the inside of the armor plate as to hide the thicker plastic ...just to make the effect of thinner plates a bit more realistic...like I say both kits get an A+ from me!! Have fun with it !.

Hi!

This kit is very good but if you want to improve it I suggest Aber photoetch and Friul metal tracks - it'll give life to your model

When I did mine, I found the Eduard etch set to be helpful, though not necessary; it's a really beautiful kit OOB. The fruils are nice though, as Tamiya's rubber band tracks just don't look right to me.

It's the older Marder III, and you guys are right, it is a good kit. Hey Shaun, aka "Hoosier Sumbo" (Oh, sorry. I know that is SO last year....) where can I get some Fruil tracks and some Aber and/or Eduard photo-etch stuff? Thanks for your time, guys.

This detail might help. The Russian 76.2 gun was rechambered to take the Pak 7.5 cm. ammo. So you can load up with the Tamiya brass shells for the Marder 111 M.

Can I ask where you got the Hobby Lobby Coupon. I normally favor my local hobby shop, but I live about 30 seconds away from a hooby lobby.

Thanks!

Steve-o: sorry, but the sale was last week. It was an internet coupon. But hey, just keep a close eye, and they might come out with a sale. Oh, and welcome to the "Big A"!

Here are a few photos of the Marder III at Aberdeen. Maybe they will help.

Hey, Patrick, thanks for posting those pictures! It's sad that most of those tanks were made into targets and razorblades.....Thanks for your time.
