For the first time in 1/35 scale a Kv-5 is made available to us Russian tank modelers. This tank although never built out of steel plate is a wonder to behold in 1/35 plastic.

like the takom kit, but a bit pricey.

i'll be perfectly honest, this kit is rather disappointing. At least compared to their amazing Object 278 i have built last year. Yeah, it is an impressive looking beast once its build but it has too many flaws. Absolutely no hull bottom details, no armor texture whatsoever over the whole tank, the fenders are conflicting with the tracks once fully assembled, the turret parts dont really lay together very well, you will need heaps of puty. The details are very rough, the rear engine desk barely has any. Again, the whole thing does look impressive but for that money... Well i'd say either invest in some aftermarket items (it does have an alluminium barrel, kudos for that) at least a nice big PE sheet or wait for the Trumpeter kit, they are on an absolute roll lately and i am more than sure they will deliver a better kit than Takom did.
